PILGRIMAGE TOUR IN NEPAL

Janakpurdham
is situated to the southern Terai of, Nepal. This holy
city is located approximately 400 KM south-east of Kathmandu
and just a 22 KM from Sitamahri, the nearest Indian border.
The city is centre of the ancient Maithili culture with
its own language and script. Janakpur also is the birthplace
of lord Sita goddess (also called Janaki), the main female
character of the Ramayana epos and it is the site of her
wedding with Rama, a Hindu God. The centre of Janakpur
is dominated by the impressive Janaki Mandir to the north
and west of the bazaar. It is also called “Nau Lakha
Mandir”, which is a biggest temple in Nepal in terms
of its size. Another landmark of Janakpur are the numerous
sacred ponds for ritual baths all over the city. The 2
most important ones are close to the centre: Dhanush Sagar
and Ganga Sagar.

ITINERARY
DAY 01 : FLY KATHMANDU - JANAKPUR
Breakfast & proceed to the domestic airport for the
flight to Janakpur. Upon arrival be received & welcomed
by our representative & transfer to hotel. After a
short rest visit to the Janaki Temple. Perform darshan & puja.
Return to the hotel & overnight.
DAY 02 : FLY KATHMANDU
Breakfast, morning free time for exploring Janaki Temple
area. Timely transfer to the airport for flight to Kathmandu.
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, be transferred to the hotel
