Mountaineering
is another prime attraction of Nepal. The mo untains
of Nepal have stood as irresistible landmarks for the world's
adventurers since Nepal opened its doors to visitors in the
1950s. The mountaineers of the world do not have the doubt
to accept the challenge. Nepal is a very mountainous country
however today there are a very few snow peaks that are permitted
to scale. Among its non - ending summits, only 122 peaks are
officially allowed to scale.
In Nepal there are 8 among
14 peaks above 8000 meters of altitude. And 8 among 10 most
tallest in the planet. They are

Mountaineering can range
from climbing the highest peak of the world to the lower considered
minor peaks , they nonetheless provide snow and ice –
climbing , and are technically quite challenging . All involve
an experience of the Trekking and a knowledge of the using
of the ropes, the Ice – Axe & the Crampon.
Mountaineering teams
can apply for permit at mountaineering section of the Ministry
of Culture & Tourism of
Nepal. Apart from the small payment of the royalty & the
obligation of the hiring a Sherpa Guide accompanied up to
the Base Camp, the conquest of these snow peaks can be attempted
without too much formalities, in an adaptable time period
of your annual vacations.
