Mountaineering & Expedition

Mountaineering in Nepal has been one of the prime tourism activities since ages. Ever since Nepal opened its mountains for climbers during 1950s, people are flocking to this Himalayan nation to get an exhilarating thrill of partaking these Himalayan ranges. Nepal is home to eight of the world’s highest mountains (above 8,000 m), the highest of them being Mount Everest (8,848m). In 1953, Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa successfully conquered Mount Everest and hence paved the way for thousands others to climb these beautiful peaks.
