DAY 01: ARRIVE PARO Today you will board a flight to Paro, Bhutan from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Uponarrival in Paro, our Fishtail representative and driver will meet you and escort you to your designated hotel. The representative will help you to check into your hotel.Rest of the day is free to explore on your own. Overnight in hotel.

DAY 02: PARO SIGHTSEEING After breakfast you will proceed for full day sightseeing tour of Paro covering Ta Dzong, DrygyelDzong, RinpungDzong, colorful Bhutanese farmhouse and Paro town itself. Firstly you will visit the ruined fortress of DrugyelDzong which still attracts visitors due to its strategic location. The fort defended the Paro valley from the Tibetan invasion from the north during the early 17th century. On a clear weather Mount Chomolhari(7,320m) can be seen towering over the Dzong. Then you will proceed through the beautiful valley to the watch the tower locally known as Ta-Dzong. It was transformed into the National museum in the 1960s by the third King JigmeDorjiWangchuck. The seven storey museum highlights various aspects of Bhutanese culture and history dating back to the 7th century. A short walk downhill takes you to the RinpungDzong which serves as the administrative center and school for monks.Overnight in hotel in Paro.

DAY 03: DRIVE PARO - THIMPHU & THIMPU SIGHTSEEING After breakfast you will be driven to Thimpu (54km/ 1&½ hrs), the capital city of Bhutan. Upon arrival inThimphu, you will proceed to visit the National Memorial Chorten, ChangangkhaLhakhang, oldest Dzong (school of Buddhist studies) in the country, SimtokhaDzongpainting school, National Library of Bhutan and the newly builtDrupthob nunnery temple. You will also visitMotithang Mini Zoo to see “Takin”, rare national animal of Bhutan. Overnight in hotel.

DAY 04: DRIVE THIMPU – WANGDU After breakfast, you will proceed for an excursion to the Painting School, National Library, Royal Goldsmith Workshop and Handicraft Centers. Later in the afternoon, you will be driven to Wangdephodrang (3 hrs) crossing the Dochula Pass at 3,100m. Upon reaching Wangdu, you will tour around WangduephodragDzong and the local market. Overnight in hotel in Wangdu.

DAY 05: PUNAKHA SIGHTSEEING & DRIVE PUNAKHA - PARO Today you will be driven to PunakhaValley (3 hrs). Punakha, the ethereal ancient capital of Bhutan is linked to some of the most momentous events in Bhutanese history. It has its reputation as one of the most beautiful and significant regions in the Bhutanese culture. Here you will visit PunakhaDzong. From here you will be driven back to Thimpu for lunch and then proceed to Paro. En-route, you will go for excursion to the SimtokhaDzong. This Dzong is the oldest building in Bhutan and now serves as a Buddhist University. Overnight in hotel in Paro.

DAY 06: FLY PARO - KATHMANDU & DEPARTURE Today you will proceed to ParoInternational Airport for your flight back to Kathmandu and then towards onward destination.
