Nepal Birthplace of Lord Buddha Tour takes you through all major tourist destinations in Nepal from historically and culturally rich Kathmandu Valley to jungle safari activities in Chitwan to the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Beside Kathmandu, Pokhara and Nagarkot, this tour covers two of the famous destinations: Chitwan (for jungle safari activities) and Lumbini (birthplace of Lord Buddha).

DAY 01: ARRIVE KATHMANDU & KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, our Fishtail representative and driver will meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and escort you to your designated hotel. The representative will help you to check into your hotel. In the hotel, you will be briefed about your daily activities during the tour. After lunch, you will proceed for local sightseeing tour to Kathmandu Durbar Square (which houses Kumari temple – temple of living goddess). All wood carvings, statues and architecture in this area are exceptionally fine. In the evening you will observe Nepalese cultural program followed by dinner. Overnight in hotel.
 
DAY 02: KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING & DRIVE KATHMANDU - NAGARKOT
After breakfast you will proceed for local sightseeing tour to Swoyambhunath Stupa. The Stupa is situated on a hillock overlooking Kathmandu valley and the Himalayas and is one of the most sacred Buddhist sites in Nepal. After lunch you will be driven to Nagarkot (1& ½ hours drive). En-route you will visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square which was founded in 889 AD and lies 13 km east of Kathmandu. The old palace square of Bhaktapur contains famous "Fifty-five windows palace". It was the royal palace of Malla kings then. The golden gate in this square is the unique master piece of the Newari art work. This old square is like an open museum of Hindu temples. The other famous sites to explore are the ancient royal bath, the courtyard of Taleju shrine; the museum of art and history, the pottery square, the majestic Nyatapola temple, the famous Peacock window and the Dattatraya temple. Upon arrival in Nagarkot, you can enjoy the view of sunset over eastern Himalayan ranges. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
 
DAY 03: DRIVE NAGARKOT - POKHARA
In the early morning during sunrise, you can enjoy magnificent view of Himalayas including Mount Everest- the highest mountain, from Nagarkot. After breakfast you will be driven to Pokhara (235KM/ 7 hrs) observing the scenic views on the national highway along the Trishuli River. After checking into the hotel in Pokhara, you can go for evening walk around the tourist area of Lake Side and enjoy the view of western Himalayan ranges including Mount Fishtail. Overnight in hotel.
 
DAY 04: POKHARA SIGHTSEEING & DRIVE POKHARA - CHITWAN
In the early morning you will proceed for sunrise view at Sarangkot Hill. After breakfast you will proceed for city sightseeing including 1 hour boat ride on famous Fewa Lake.  After breakfast you will be driven to Chitwan National Park (151km/5 hours). On arrival you will check into the Resort / jungle lodge followed by welcome drink and briefing about the jungle activities. After lunch you will proceed for jungle activities.  Late afternoon village walk can be organized at nearby Tharu village. In the evening, during your stay at the lodge, you can enjoy “Tharu Tribal Dance” presented by the local Tharu villagers. Dinner and overnight in jungle lodge /resort.
 
DAY 05: JUNGLE ACTIVITIES & DRIVE CHITWAN - LUMBINI  
Today your day will start with nature walk and bird watching tour. After breakfast you will go for jungle safari on elephant back to see Deers, one-horned Rhinoceros, Wild Boars, monkeys, birds and many other smaller animals. After lunch you will proceed for Lumbini (180KM/ 5 hrs). As the historical birthplace of Gautam Buddha, Lumbini is one of the most important religious sites in the world. Buddha who later achieved enlightenment under a Bodhi tree, inspiring a global philosophy of peace and reflection, was born under a sal tree in Lumbini in the month of May in 563 BC. You will then proceed for sightseeing tour at Lumbini that includes several monasteries (Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese etc.), eternal lamp, historical sites of Ashoka Pillar, Maya Devi temple etc. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.
 
DAY 06: FLY LUMBINI - KATHMANDU
After breakfast, you will proceed for Lumbini Airport for a flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu and after lunch, you will proceed for local sightseeing tour to Bouddhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist Stupas in the world and Pashupatinath Temple – sacred Hindu temple. In the evening, you can explore Thamel – a popular tourist hub in the center of the city. Overnight in hotel.
 
DAY 07: DEPARTURE
After breakfast, our representative will take you to the Tribhuvan international airport for your flight towards onward destination.
