Helambu lies in Sindhupalchowk district, about 72km Northeast from Kathmandu. Scenic grandeur, favorable climate, easy access and low elevations and natural and cultural diversity make the Helambu trek a perfect and popular short trekking destination in Nepal. The place is mostly dominated by Yolmo community and thousands of tourists flock to this destination every year to enjoy the warm hospitality of Yolmo people. Unlike other routes, this route is less crowed and free from noise. The maximum elevation of the route is 3480m. Apart from enchanting Buddhist monasteries, some other famous tourist sites in the area are Shermathang, Nigale Dada, Tarke Ghyang, Melanching Village, Kutumsang, Ghopte Ghyang, Timbu, Kakani and Ghangyul. Similarly, Aama Yangri, which exists at the height of 3,536 meter, is the most famous tourism destination in the area. Helambu is also well known for its sweet apples.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our Fishtail representative and driver will meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and escort you to your designated hotel. The representative will help you to check into your hotel. In the hotel, you will be briefed about your daily activities during the trek.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley 
Kathmandu valley is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The valley offers you a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence. In the morning, after breakfast, you will visit renowned and one of the largest Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Swoyambhunath Stupa. After lunch, you will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square.
Day 03: Drive to Sundarijal (1,400m) and Trek to Chisapani (2,300m) 
A 15km drive from Kathmandu will take you to Sundarijal. On arrival at Sundarijal, you can visit Shivapuri Watershed and Wild life Reserve. From Sundarijal, the trail heads up to the concrete steps beside the pipeline which supply drinking water for the valley. We leave the pipeline near the dam, and then on to Mulkharka, trekking to the ridge at around 1,895m, some 600m above Sundarijal. There you can relax in the convenient tea shops, and enjoy the view back over the valley. We will then continue walking to Chisapani (2300m).
Day 04: Trek to Khutumsang (2,470m)
From Chisopani the trail leads down to Pati Bhanjyang (1,770m), a lovely small village. After reaching Pati Bhanjyang, the trail leads up and then down to the village of Gul Bhanjyang (2,140m). From here the trails climbs up to 2,620m and then again descends along the rocky route to Khutumsang. 
Day 05: Trek to Tharepati (3,440m)
Following a ridge line, the trail will continue via lightly populated forest to Magen Goth from where the view of Langtang and Gosaikund peak is stunning, and finally the trail will take us to Tharepati. This walk is one of the best ridge walks among all treks in Nepal. The trails to Gosaikunda branches off northwest from here.
Day 06: Trek to Tarke Gyang (2,620m)
Turning east, we will descend down a ravine through small Sherpa village of Malemchi Gaon (2,530m) that has splendid lodges and fine old and artistic Gompas. The trail again descends leaving the village and crossing Melamchi Khola by a bridge at 1,890m and making the long climb up the other side of the valley to Tarke Gyang, which is the largest village in Helambu.
Day 07: Trek to Sermathang (2620m)
Today we will descend through a beautiful forest to Sermathang. It is the center of an important apple growing area from where a fantastic view of the Himalayan ranges can be seen.
Day 08: Explore Sermathang
Today you will explore Sermathang village to observe the local culture, lifestyle and customs of people residing there. 
Day 09: Trek to Melamchi Bazaar (846m) and Drive to Kathmandu
Today you will proceed towards Melamchi Bazaar. This village has good collection of teahouses and lodges and all kinds of road transportation. From here, you will be driven back to Kathmandu.  Upon reaching Kathmandu, rest of the day is free for relaxation and shopping.
Day 10: Depart Kathmandu
After checking out of the hotel, our representative will take you to the international airport for your flight towards onward destination.
