The Everest High Passes trek is challenging, stunning and famous trek in the Khumbu region. It combines three high passes of the Everest Region i.e. Kongma La Pass (5,540m), Chola Pass (5,335m) and the newly explored Renjo La Pass (5,400m). Everest High Passes Trek combines ascents of Kalapatthar (5,545m) and Gokyo Peak (5,350m) as well. The trek takes one through the Bhote Koshi valley - home of legendary Sherpa villages and their monasteries, culture and sacred peaks. The trail also offers majestic views of well known 7,000m to 8,848m peaks like Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Cholatse and many more Himalayan giants. Besides, en route rhododendron forests, rocky hills, rivers, lakes, glaciers are the other attractions of the trek. This trek can be an ultimate Everest experience in an entire Khumbu Himalayan range. The total duration of the trek is 21 days.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our Fishtail representative and driver will meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and escort you to your designated hotel. The representative will help you to check into your hotel. In the hotel, you will be briefed about your daily activities during the trek.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley 
Kathmandu valley is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The valley offers you a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence. In the morning, after breakfast, you will visit renowned and one of the largest Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Swoyambhunath Stupa. After lunch, you will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2,850m) and Trek to Phakding (2,610m)
In the early morning, you will board a flight to Lukla and a landing on a steep mountain runway brings you to the start of your trek at the village of Lukla (2,850m). Even during the entire flight, you can enjoy panoramic sights of great Himalayas of Nepal including Everest (8,848m), Makalu (8,463m), Cho Oyu (8,153m), Lhotse (8,501m), Lhotse Shar (8,393m), Kanchenjunga, Gaurishankar, Ganesh, Langtang etc. From Lukla, you will head up the Dudh Koshi Valley on a well-marked trail and will be accommodated in a local lodge in Phakding.
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Leaving Phakding, you will be crossing the river twice through high suspension bridges and arrive at Monjo – the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park which was set-up in order to protect and preserve fragile mountainous environment. From here, you will follow the path to reach Namche, which is the major trading village in entire Khumbu region. If the weather is clear, you will get the first glimpse of Everest from this point.
Day 05: Rest day in Namche Bazaar
Today you will spend your entire day in Namche by taking complete rest in order to acclimatize to gain altitude, plan for forthcoming trips and get habituated to your trekking destinations. 
Day 06: Trek to Thyangboche (3,860m)
This day, from Namche, the trail follows the path to the side of the valley, high above the Dudh Koshi River.  You will get to see some great views of peaks of Khumbu region including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam. As you move downwards, you will pass through several Sherpa villages and teashops. The path offers awesome sights of Rhododendron bushes with beautiful birds and superb mountain scenery. Finally, you will reach Thyangboche, which is famous for its legendary monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region.
Day 07: Trek to Dingboche (4,410m)
After breakfast, you will start your trek and upon crossing the bridge and several Rhododendron forests, you will arrive at a beautiful village Pangboche. The trail will then continue to Dingboche and to exhale your excitement, Mount Amadablam will get closer and closer. Five more hours of further walk and you will find yourself at Dingboche, which is also the gateway to Chukung Village and Island peak.
Day 08: Rest day in Dingboche
Today you will spend your entire day in Dingboche by taking complete rest in order to acclimatize to gain altitude, plan for forthcoming trips and get habituated to your trekking destinations. However, if you want, you can also hike around Dingboche.
Day 09: Trek to Chukum (4,700m)
On the way to Chukum, you will have wonderful opportunities to divulge yourself in exploring scenic views of Nuptse, Lhotse, Chukum Peak and Imja Tse. It is from Chukum where you will prepare yourself to make your first crossing of a high pass, the Kongma La Pass at 5,300m.
Day 10: Trek to Kongma La Pass (5,500m) and Lobuche (4,910m)
After breakfast you will head towards Kongma La Pass followed by steep ascent into the deep valley between Pokalde Base Camp and Chukum village. At Pokalde base Camp you can see clear blue lake that lies just below the pass. Just 5 – 6 hours of further hike and you will reach Lobuche. From this route both Pheriche and Dhugla are visible. 
Day 11: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m) via Gorakshep and Return to Gorakshep (5,164m)
Your last destination for today is Everest base camp (EBC). To reach Gorak Shep you will have to pass Kala Patthar and Khumbu glaciers surrounded by astoundingly beautiful snow-clad mountains. From the EBC you can see not just the great views of Mount Everest, but also notorious Everest Ice Fall that flow from the Western Cwm, which is technically regarded as the hardest and most dangerous section of the mountain. After spending some time in EBC, you will head back to Gorakshep for the accommodation. 
Day 12: Trek to Kala Patthar (5,545m) and Pheriche (4,371m)
In the early morning, you will move ahead to Kala Patthar (5,545m) from where you can enjoy the view of sunrise in the Himalayas including the mighty Everest, and many other mountain peaks like Pumori, Lingtren, Khumbetse, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku.
Day 13: Trek to Thaknak (4,690m)
Today, you are going to cross the Cho La Pass (5370m), a steep and somewhat difficult ascent of a rocky ridge.  Cho La Pass will be reached after a few hours of walk from Zongla. The trip is going to be one of the toughest. The walk will begin as we transverse through a spur extending westward from Zongla. The path descends to a basin across which meanders a stream crusted with ice at places. In about an hour, we will reach the top of the basin readying for the triumph on Cho-La. Then we descend in another side of the pass and trek to Thaknak for overnight stay. 
Day 14: Trek to Gokyo (4,750m)
From Thaknak, you will proceed by crossing the Ngozumpa Glacier on a sandy shifting trail. Below the trail and on the other sides are the frozen lakes creaking. Once you enter the grassy ablation valley running beside the Ngozumpa Glacier, Gokyo will provide you with a first glance of it. Gokyo is a seasonal village and a grazing area built beside the third and biggest lake. The village has become something of a Himalayan resort without the crowd – at least in terms of the comfortable lodges with sunrooms, unbeatable views, excellent food and warm stoves. 
Day 15: Rest day in Gokyo 
Today you will spend your entire day in Gokyo by taking complete rest in order to acclimatize to gain altitude, plan for forthcoming trips and get habituated to your trekking destinations. However, if you want, you can also hike around the Gokyo valley and Gokyo Lake and climb a hill at the edge of the lake that provides astounding views of Cho-Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Makalu.
Day 16: Trek to Lunde (4,300m)
After breakfast, the trek will resume by climbing Renjo La Pass (5,400m). This is truly an amazing high pass in the Everest region and its popularity among trekkers is increasing day by day. After walking for three hours, you will reach Renjo La Pass where a dazzling vistas of Everest itself, Lhotse, Cholatse and Taboche can be seen gleaming in the sunshine. From the pass we descend down on a stone staircase to Lunde where we stay overnight. 
Day 17: Trek to Thame (3,820m)
Today, the trek is going to be comparatively easy, as you will be descending to Thame, which is a sprawling village with few lodges and offers stunning views of peaks like Thamserku, Kantenga, Kusum Kangguru, etc. Overlooking Thame is its famous Gompa situated amidst fields on a hill to the west. The Gompa has three big images of Chenresig (Avalokiteswara), Guru Rimpoche and Buddha Shakyamuni. Colorful Mani Rimdu festival featuring colorful mask dances is held in this Gompa in the month of May.
Day 18: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
From Thame you will follow the flat route and descend to first resting place Thamo after heading towards Namche bazaar. The place offers breathtaking views of Thamo village where Khari Monasteries are located in addition to the stunning views of great Himalayas. 
Day 19: Trek to Lukla (2,850m)
This will be the final day of the trek and the ultimate destination is Lukla. The path goes along the Dudh Koshi River to reach Lukla. Upon reaching Lukla in the evening, you will have time to enjoy local drinks with a company of Sherpa guides and porters.
Day 20: Fly to Kathmandu
After breakfast, you will check in to the Lukla airport to fly back to Kathmandu. Upon reaching the Kathmandu airport, your guide will transfer you to the designated hotel. In the evening, you have free time for refreshments and shopping.
Day 21: Depart Kathmandu
After checking out of the hotel, our representative will take you to the international airport for your flight towards onward destination. If you want to continue your stay in Nepal for short tours i.e. National parks, rafting, mountain biking, hiking, etc., please do let us know. We will be proudly serving your needs.
