Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek is one of the challenging and most rewarding treks around Dhaulagiri (8,167m), the seventh highest mountain in the planet located in the western region of Nepal. 

The Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek provides excellent opportunities to experience cultural and geographical diversity of Nepal. From walking in snow-clad paths and glaciers to beautiful scenic forests and its wildlife, trekkers can enjoy every tidbits of the nature. The route also offers stunning views of landscapes, hills, rivers, waterfalls, snow-capped mountains etc. Additionally, the trail provides an opportunity for the trekkers to explore ethnic villages of western Nepal where one can observe and enjoy culture, customs and traditions, rituals and lifestyles of ethnic communities such as Gurung, Chhetris and Magar.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our Fishtail representative and driver meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and escort you to your designed hotel. The representative will help you check into your hotel. At the hotel, you will be briefed about your daily activities.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
Kathmandu valley is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The valley offers you a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence. In the morning, after breakfast, you will visit renowned and one of the largest Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Swoyambhunath Stupa. After lunch, you will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square.
Day 03: Drive to Beni (899m)
The final destination for this day would be Beni, the capital of Myagdi district. For this you can either take a flight to Pokhara and then drive to Beni, which is 82km northwest from Pokhara. Or you can drive to Beni directly from Kathmandu via Pokhara, which takes about 8-9 hours. Throughout the drive, you will be witnessing splendid views of mountains, villages and cities and forests along the banks of Trishuli and Marsyangdi River. 
Day 04: Trek to Babichaur
This day marks the beginning of your actual trek. After breakfast, you will start trekking sideways of the Kali Gandaki River and then head towards Myagdikhola by crossing suspension bridges. The trail goes through the villages of Mangalghat, Singa, and Tatopani before reaching Babichaur.
Day 05: Trek to Dharapani (1,565m)
Today, the trekking route will be quite wide, smooth and graveled until you reach Darbang. On the way you will pass a small town, forests of rhododendrons and several villages. Finally you will reach Dharapani, which is comparatively a big village with traditional but large houses constructed of thatched straws, woods, tins and other materials found in the mountain itself. Locals here are renowned for their hospitality and warm behavior.
Day 06: Trek to Muri (1,850m)
Leaving Dharapani, you will be descending and walking through villages and cross a suspension bridge over the river from where the trail turns uphill. You will then follow the gentle ascending path to Muri, a small village. Putting in the chances that the weather is clear, you can get a glimpse of Manapathi peak and the whole Dhaulagiri range.
Day 07: Trek to Boghara (2,080m)
Today your destination would be Boghara.  You will be descending through a rocky stream towards the terraced fields to Dhora Khola from where you will again climb up the mountainside to Ghoban Dhara. On the way you can see Ghutsung South (6,465m). 
Day 08: Trek to Dhobang (2,520m)
The trail first descends through the terraced fields to a small ridge and then through a forest to Jyardan, which is the most remote permanent settlement in these parts. After the settlement, a high winding path crosses a rocky area and then descends before climbing again to Lipshe where there is only a single hut. The trail then continues through a forest to Lapche Kharka and then ascends to the leveled area at Dhobang.
Day 09: Trek to Italian Base camp (3,660m)
From today, begins the real adventure. You will have to walk for 6-7 hours per day. The trail goes through the raging Myagdi khola. Soon, you will be crossing the bridge and then climb steeply through bamboo and old growth forests. You will also have to cross two sections where part of the trail has been washed away by landslides. Here you may witness Langurs jumping here and there in the trees. Finally the trek for the day will end upon reaching Italian Base Camp.
Day 10: Rest Day in Italian Base Camp 
Today will be the rest day for acclimatizing at the Italian Base Camp. However, you have the option to climb a small ridge heading to the American Base Camp. Though the main summit of Dhaulagiri isn't visible, you will still get up-close views of the big massif. 
Day 11: Trek to Glacier camp (4,210m) 
Moving ahead from the Italian Base Camp you will trek up to Glacier camp. The trail passes through a narrow gorge and is also a bit prone to stone fall. 
Day 12:  Trek to Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4,740m)
The destination for the day would be Dhaulagiri Base Camp which is the best spot to take perfect views of the northern face of Dhaulagiri-I (8,167m) dominating the skyline to your right; Dhaulagiri-II (7,751m), Dhaulagiri-III (7,715m) and Dhaulagiri-V (7,618m) visible on the western side. Right at your front lies the magnificent icefall that descends from the northeast.
Day 13: Rest Day in Dhaulagiri Base Camp
Today would be a rest day at the Dhaulagiri Base Camp in order to acclimatize. You can hike around the base camp that offers the superb views of great Himalayas and hills. 
Day 15: Trek to Hidden Valley Camp (5,000m)
Leaving the Dhaulagiri base Camp you will trek to Hidden Valley Camp for today. You will reach the Hidden Valley Camp by crossing the French Pass (5,360m), from where you will get the panoramic views of Mukut Himal (6,328m), Tashi Kang (6,386m), Sita, Chuchura (6,611m), Tukche Peak (6,920m) and the massive peak of Dhaulagiri-I as well. 
Day 16: Trek to Yak Kharka (3,680m)
From the Hidden Camp, you will descend to Yak Kharka by crossing the Dhampus Pass (5,200m). Yak Kharka houses a perfect campsite to enjoy the surrounding. 
Day 17: Trek to Jomsom (2,710m)
Today you will leave Yak Kharka and descend towards Jomsom – the Marpha village that is located on the west bank of Kali Gandaki River.  Marpha is home to many Apple orchards as well as various food products made out from the fruit. Marpha is also famous for its Apple Brandy, which you can taste en route. 
Day 18: Fly to Pokhara (950m)
This day you will be leaving for Pokhara city via flight from Jomsom. Upon reaching Pokhara, you will have an ample time to roam around the city. You can visit Fewa Lake famous for boating. If the weather is clear, you can see the reflection of Machhapuchhre in the lake. The lake also houses Barahi Temple located in the middle of the lake. Other interesting destinations would be Devi’s fall, Tibetan Refugee Settlement, Gupteshwor Cave, International Mountain Museum, and Bindabasini Temple.
Day19: Fly/Drive to Kathmandu
After breakfast, you will be either driven to the Pokhara airport to take a flight to Kathmandu or will be driven to Kathmandu via tourist vehicle. The entire day in the capital is free for some shopping and relaxation.
Day 20: Depart Kathmandu
