Ghale Gaun is a beautiful and ideal rural tourist destination to experience the social life of the ethnic Ghales - their rituals, traditions, cultures evidenced through religious events such as lively traditional music and dance. This village is at an altitude of 2,016 m from the sea level.
Another important destination near Ghale Gaun is Dudhpokhari, a sacred lake and a major pilgrimage site for local inhabitants where a great fair is run during Janai Purnima that falls on August. From this trekking trail, trekkers can see the majestic views of Mount Hiunchuli, Mount Manaslu, Annapurna South, Machapuchhre, Lamjung Himal etc.; picturesque green forests with colorful rhododendrons; wonderful waterfalls; and rivers. Nepalese are renowned all over the world for their hospitality and welcoming behavior of the locals will definitely give you a different experience that you have never felt before. Since, the accommodation will be at local houses, you will be observing the real Nepalese cultural traditions from the closest quarter and you can intermingle with the locals. Besides, Ghale Gaun is also famous for honey hunting and handicrafts.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our Fishtail representative and driver will meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and escort you to your designated hotel. The representative will help you to check into your hotel. In the hotel, you will be briefed about your daily activities during the trek.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
Kathmandu valley is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The valley offers you a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence. In the morning, after breakfast, you will visit renowned and one of the largest Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Swoyambhunath Stupa. After lunch, you will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square.
Day 03: Drive to Besi Sahar (820m) and Trek to Khudi Village (790m)
This day will mark the beginning of your trek. For this, in the early morning, after breakfast you will be driven to BesiSahar, Lamjung district, 180 km northwest of Kathmandu. It takes around 6-8 hours on a tourist vehicle to reach the town. From Besi Sahar, you will trek along the trail turning right at the canal on the outskirts of the village and then descend the narrow path to the Pam Khola. Afterwards, we will move ahead towards the village of Denauti where you will get to see rural Nepali life from close quarters. This trail offers variety of loving scenic views of the Marshyangdi Khola (river), paddy fields and subtropical forests. Finally, the trek will end for the day upon reaching Khudi, which is a Gurung (ethnic community) village.
Day 04: Trek to Ghale Gaun (2,016m)
Today after breakfast, you will walk through the trail that follows the path along the bank of Khudi River passing waterfalls and several villages. Further 4 – 5 hours of walking will take you to Ghale Gaun from where you can get picturesque views of Annapurna, Manaslu and other Himalaya range. It is also the best spot for viewing sunrise and sunset.
Day 05: Ghale Gaun Exploration (2,016m)
After breakfast you will hike around the Ghale gaun. You will find that most of the houses are built in same style with uniquely carved windows. You can also pay a visit to Buddhist Gompa in the village. In the evening you can enjoy Nepalese cultural programs.
Day 06: Hike to Ghanapokhara (1,800m)
From Ghale Gaun the trekking trail passes through the rhododendron forest with chirping melody of birds and hissing waterfalls and hill side farm terraces finally taking you to the traditional village of Ghanapokhara. This village is mostly inhabitated by Ghales.
Day 07: Hike to Baglungpani (1,595m)
Leaving Ghanapokhara, the trail crosses the Midim River via suspension bridge. You will then have to climb Khumre Danda before descending to Pasgaun. On the way you can visit Buddhist Gompa. 
Day 08: Hike to Laxmi Bazaar (1,300m)
Today the trail follows the steep descending path to Rudi stream by crossing the suspension bridge. On the way you can have spectacular views of Annapurna and Manaslu Himalaya range.
Day 09: Trek to Begnas Lake (884m) and Drive to Pokhara
Continuing the journey, today you will trek downhill to Begnas Lake, you will enjoy an hour boating and then catch the transfer to Pokhara. Upon arrival at Pokhara, you will check in into the hotel and can enjoy rest of the time exploring the lakeside.
Day 10: Sightseeing in Pokhara
Pokhara is a globally renowned tourist destination for its natural beauty. Firstly, you will visit Fewa Lake where you can enjoy boating. If the weather is clear, you can see the reflection of Mount Machhapuchhre in the lake. The lake also houses Barahi Temple located in the middle of the lake. Other interesting destinations would be Devi’s Waterfall, Tibetan Refugee Settlement, Gupteshwor Cave, International Mountain Museum, and Bindabasini Temple. 
Day 11: Fly/Drive to Kathmandu
Today after breakfast, you will either take a flight to Kathmandu or will be driven to Kathmandu via tourist vehicle.
Day 12: Depart Kathmandu
After checking out of the hotel, our representative will take you to the international airport for your flight towards onward destination.
