Ghale Gaun lies in Annapurna Circuit Route and is a beautiful and ideal rural tourist destination to experience the social life of the Ghales - their rituals, traditions, cultures evidenced through religious events such as lively traditional music and dance. This village is at an altitude of 2,095m from the sea level.
 
The tour provides you an opportunity to explore real village life of Nepal. Nepalese are renowned all over the world for their hospitality; and the friendly and heartwarming behaviors of locals will definitely give you a different experience that you have never felt before. About a decade ago, the concept of village tourism, eco-tourism and cultural tourism was exercised in this region. The guests are treated here with proper hospitality and are served with clean and delicious organic food. Here in all the houses, well-furnished rooms and clean toilets are available. Besides, the Ghale Gaun is also famous for honey hunting and handmade handicrafts. From this trekking trail, trekkers can see the majestic views of Mount Hiunchuli, Mount Manaslu, Annapurna South, Machapuchhre, Lamjung Himal etc.; picturesque green forests with colorful rhododendrons; wonderful waterfalls; and rivers.
 
Another important destination near Ghale Gaun is Dudhpokhari, a sacred lake and a major pilgrimage site for local inhabitants where a great fair is held during Janai Purnima that falls on August.

DAY 01: ARRIVE KATHMANDU
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our Fishtail representative and driver will meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and escort you to your designated hotel. The representative will help you to check into your hotel. In the hotel, you will be briefed about your daily activities during the tour.
 
DAY 02: KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING
Kathmandu valley is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The valley offers you a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence. In the morning, after breakfast, you will visit renowned and one of the largest Buddhist monastery - Swoyambhunath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. After lunch, you will visit Patan Durbar Square. All these are protected by UNESCO as world heritage site. Overnight in Hotel.

DAY 03: DRIVE KATHMANDU - BESI SAHAR (820m) & HIKE TO KHUDI (790m)
In the morning after breakfast, you will be driven on a private tourist vehicle to Besi Sahar (headquarter of Lamjung district), which is located 180 km northwest from the capital city Kathmandu. The drive will tentatively take around six hours. On the way you can enjoy beautiful scenic hills, forest, rivers, local villages and towns. After reaching Besi Shahar, you will take a rest for a while and then begin the trek to Khudi.
 
DAY 04: TREK TO GHALE GAUN (2,016m)
Today after breakfast, you will walk through the trail that follows the path along the bank of Khudi River passing waterfalls and several villages. Further 4 – 5 hours of walking will take you to Ghale Gaun from where you can get picturesque views of Annapurna, Manaslu and other Himalaya range. It is also the best spot for viewing sunrise and sunset.
 
DAY 05: EXPLORE GHALE GAUN (2,016m)
After breakfast you will hike around the Ghale gaun. You will find that most of the houses are built in same style with uniquely carved windows. You can also pay a visit to Buddhist Gompa in the village. In the evening you can enjoy Nepalese cultural programs.
 
DAY 06: HIKE TO GHANAPOKHARA (1,800m)
From Ghale Gaun the trekking trail passes through the rhododendron forest with chirping melody of birds and hissing waterfalls and hill side farm terraces finally taking you to the traditional village of Ghanapokhara. This village is mostly inhabitated by Ghales.
 
DAY 07: HIKE TO BAGLUNGPANI (1,595m)
Leaving Ghanapokhara, the trail crosses the Midim River via suspension bridge. You will then have to climb Khumre Danda before descending to Pasgaun. On the way you can visit Buddhist Gompa. 
 
DAY 08: HIKE TO LAXMI BAZAAR (1,300m)
Today the trail follows the steep descending path to Rudi stream by crossing the suspension bridge. On the way you can have spectacular views of Annapurna and Manaslu Himalaya range.
 
DAY 09: TREK TO BEGNAS LAKE (884M) AND DRIVE TO POKHARA
Continuing the journey, today you will trek downhill to Begnas Lake, you will enjoy an hour boating and then catch the transfer to Pokhara. Upon arrival at Pokhara, you will check in into the hotel and can enjoy rest of the time exploring the lakeside.
 
DAY 10: POKHARA SIGHTSEEING
Pokhara is a globally renowned tourist destination for its natural beauty. Firstly, you will visit Fewa Lake where you can enjoy boating. If the weather is clear, you can see the reflection of Mount Machhapuchhre in the lake. The lake also houses Barahi Temple located in the middle of the lake. Other interesting destinations would be Devi’s Waterfall, Tibetan Refugee Settlement, Gupteshwor Cave, International Mountain Museum, and Bindabasini Temple. 
 
DAY 11: FLY/DRIVE POKHARA - KATHMANDU
Today after breakfast, you will either take a flight to Kathmandu or will be driven to Kathmandu via tourist vehicle.
 
DAY 12: DEPART KATHMANDU
After checking out of the hotel, our representative will take you to the international airport for your flight towards onward destination. If you want to continue your stay in Nepal for short tours i.e. National parks, rafting, mountain biking, hiking, etc., please do let us know. We will be proudly serving your needs.
