ITINERARY
DAY 1 :
AM : At 07:00 am drive To Chitawan
. [ 186 km / 5.5 Hours ] . Arrive at Chitrasari . Reception
by Gaida naturalist. Transfer to the Lodge followed
by refreshments and a briefing about the afternoon programme
and the Lodge facilities.
PM : Lunch at the central dining restaurant,
" Golghar ."Visit to the elephants stable
, Jungle safari on Elephant back to see different kinds
of deer, rhinoceros, wild boar, leopard, monkeys, birds
and many other smaller animals . Talk on the natural
history & flora & fauna of the national park.
Dinner. Overnight in the Jungle resort.
DAY
2 :
AM : Wake up call. Tea / Coffee , Nature
walk and Bird watching Tour. Breakfast. Start Dugout
canoe ride along with
Dungre / Rapti river. An excellent opportunity for bird
watching and to see 2 rare species of crocodile;
the marsh mugger and the fish eating gharial. Half an
hour walk through the jungle to The Elephant Breeding
Farm. Then drive back to the Lodge.
PM : Lunch. Village walk. Participate
in a conducted visit to the nearby Tharu village. Walk
/ drive back to the Lodge. Enjoy “Tharu Tribal
Dance “ presented by the local Tharu villagers.
Dinner. Overnight in the Jungle resort.
DAY
3 :
AM : Wake up call. Tea / Coffee.Breakfast.
Drive towards Kathmandu [ 186 km / 5.5 Hours ]
PM : Arrival in Kathmandu. |
